Champlain Valley Union High School

Champlain Valley Union High School is a high school located in the town of Hinesburg, Vermont. The school serves the communities of Charlotte, Hinesburg, Shelburne, Williston, and St. George. The enrollment for the 2007-2008 school year was 1,388 students with 113 faculty. The school is locally known as CVU. CVU was established in 1964 to serve the Chittenden towns outside of Burlington, Vermont. CVU is the second largest high school in Vermont behind Essex High School.

Lake Iroquois (Vermont)

Lake Iroquois is a 229-acre reservoir in northwestern Vermont, bordered by three towns: Hinesburg, Williston, and Richmond. Lake Iroquois (formerly known as Hinesburg pond) was created in 1867 to supply mills in Hinesburg with a better water supply. Building a dam on Pond Brook caused the existing spring-fed pond to rise above its banks and become the current lake. The towns share a beach on the lake, plus there is a public boat access.

WGMU-CA

WGMU-CA is a low-power television station that is licensed to Burlington. It broadcasts an analog signal on UHF channel 39 from a transmitter in Charlotte. The station can also be seen on Charter channel 18, and Comcast channel 80. Locally owned by CEC Media Group, it is a full-time satellite of RTV affiliate WNMN in Saranac Lake, New York. The channel has studios on Pine Haven Shores Road in Shelburne.
