Grace Cottage Hospital is a small Critical Access Hospital (CAH) located in Townshend, Vermont. It is best known for being the smallest hospital in Vermont, with only 19 beds and 160 employees. Townshend Dam

Townshend Dam (National ID # VT00004) is a dam in Townshend, Windham County, Vermont. The earthen dam was constructed in 1961 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers with a height of 126 feet and a length of 1700 feet at its crest. It impounds Vermont's West River for flood control and seasonal storm water management. The dam is owned and operated by the Corps of Engineers.

Ball Mountain Dam

Ball Mountain Dam (National ID # VT00001) is a dam in Jamaica, Windham County, Vermont, in the southeastern part of the state. The earthen and gravel gravity dam was constructed between 1957 and 1961 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, with a height of 247 feet and a length of 915 feet at its crest. It impounds the West River of Vermont for flood control. The dams is owned and operated by the Corps of Engineers.

The Putney School

The Putney School is an independent high school in Putney, Vermont. It was founded in 1935 by Carmelita Hinton. It is a co-educational, college-preparatory boarding school, with a day-student component, located 12 miles outside of Brattleboro, Vermont. Emily Jones is the director. The school enrolls approximately 225 students on a 500 acres -hilltop campus with classrooms, dormitories, and a dairy farm on which all of its students work before graduating.
