Point Aux Roches Light

Point Aux Roches Light, sometimes referred to as Pointe Au Roches or Point Au Roches, is a lighthouse on Lake Champlain in New York. It is just north of Point Au Roches State Park. The Coast Guard sold the property in the 1930s. It is a private residence now.

Coopersville, Clinton County, New York

Coopersville (formerly, Cooperville and Moore's Mills) is a hamlet in Clinton County, New York. Coopersville lies at an elevation of 105 feet (32 m). Most of the first settlers of this area were refugees from Canada who either didn't support the British during the American Revolution, or actually took up arms against the British. Man of these had been soldiers in the French army from "The Old French War", (The French and Indian War).
