Lincoln Peak is a mountain located on the border between Vermont's Washington and Addison counties, within the Green Mountain National Forest. The mountain is named after President Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865), and is part of the Lincoln Mountain section of the Green Mountains. Green Mountain Valley School is a private boarding and day school in Waitsfield, Vermont. It is one of a few schools in New England and Colorado known as "ski academies" where students attend typical classes and also train in skiing. The class schedule is unorthodox, as it revolves around training for ski racing. The school serves about 110 students in grades 8-12. Students train on the ski run Inverness, located at Sugarbush Resort, Mount Ellen.
