Virginia International Raceway

Virginia International Raceway (commonly known as "VIR") is a road course located in the community of Alton, near Danville, Virginia. It is less than a half-mile from the North Carolina/Virginia border just outside Milton, North Carolina on the banks of the Dan River. VIR hosts amateur and professional automobile and motorcycle events, driving schools, club days, and private test rentals.

Hyco Lake

Hyco Lake is a reservoir in Person and Caswell counties, North Carolina. It is the area's main destination for fishing, boating, water skiing, wake boarding, and recreation and is the larger of Person County's two lakes, the other being Mayo Lake. The lake was formed from the Hyco River and has three main tributaries; North Hyco Creek, South Hyco Creek, and Cobb's Creek. Interest in the lake for vacation homes has created numerous homes along its shores with relatively high property values.

Ringgold, Virginia

Ringgold is an unincorporated community in Pittsylvania County in the U.S. state of Virginia with a postal zip code 24586. The community was named after Maj. Samuel Ringgold, a hero of the Battle of Palo Alto in the U.S. -Mexican War. Ringgold lies twenty minutes' drive away from Danville, Virginia. Southern Ringgold actually touches the southern border of Virginia and North Carolina.

WKVK

WKVK is a radio station broadcasting a Contemporary Christian format. Licensed to Semora, North Carolina, it serves a large swath of central North Carolina as an outlet of K-LOVE.
