Tanglewood Mall

Tanglewood Mall is a shopping mall in southwest Roanoke County, Virginia. It originally opened for business in 1973. The mall is currently managed by Urban Retail Properties. Tanglewood was approaching "dead mall" status at one point, but appears to be on the road to recovery with extensive renovations. The mall has the advantage of being located near some of the most affluent areas of Roanoke County and the city of Roanoke.

James Madison Middle School

The Roanoke Valley Governor's School for Science and Technology is located in the Grandin Court neighborhood of Roanoke, Virginia on the campus of Patrick Henry High School, and was established in 1985 as a result of the cooperative effort of seven regional school districts to improve education in mathematics and science.
