Curtis is a community in Washington. Named by its first postmaster, Ben Curtis, for himself, Curtis is about 6 miles south of Adna, Washington. It has a Post Office and a K-8 school and a library. On December 3rd of the year 2007, a mix of weather patterns caused a torrential flood in the Boistfort Valley, at the head of which is the town of Curtis.

Dryad, Washington

Dryad is a rural unincorporated town between Doty and Adna in Washington, USA. It is one of many lumber towns that were once on the Chehalis-South Bend branch of Northern Pacific Railway. The town was once two miles south of the present location, and was called Salal. It moved when Leudinghaus Brothers of Chehalis built a sawmill at the present site. Its name, supplied by Northern Pacific Railway officials around 1890, at the suggestion of W. C.

Chehalis–Centralia Railroad

The Chehalis–Centralia Railroad is a heritage railroad based in Chehalis, Washington. The railroad operates No. 15, a 2-8-2 steam locomotive built by Baldwin in 1916, over a 9-mile section of former Milwaukee Road track. The route winds through scenic hills, farmland, and over several wooden trestles over the Chehalis River. The railroad was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1986 by Chehalis citizens inspired by a visit to Chehalis by the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad.

Doty, Washington

Doty is an unincorporated community between Dryad and Pe Ell in Washington State, United States. C. A. Doty built a sawmill here around 1900, and the town that sprang up around it was named after him. The town once boasted the largest sawmill in Lewis County. There is a Post Office, a General Store, two Churches and a Fire Department. About 250 people live in Doty.
