Lincoln International District, Tacoma, Washington

The Lincoln International Business District is a neighborhood in Tacoma, WA, near historic Lincoln High School. Centered on S. 38th St and Yakima, the Lincoln International District is home to the majority of Tacoma's Vietnamese businesses and community centers. According to the City of Tacoma, the district has 755 businesses employing more than 8,200 workers (2008 figures). This district is home to Vietnamese celebrations throughout the year, most notably Tết, the Vietnamese New Year.

Lincoln High School (Tacoma, Washington)

Lincoln High School is a 98 year old high school located in the south central sector of Tacoma, at the corner of 37th St. and South G adjacent to Lincoln Park. The school was founded in 1913 and built according to an architectural design by Frederick Heath. It has since been named as a historical building. Lincoln underwent a major renovation in 2007 and will celebrate its Centennial Jubilee in 2014.

Tacoma Ice Palace

Tacoma Ice Palace was an indoor arena in Tacoma, Washington at 3801 S. Union Avenue. It hosted the Western Hockey League's Tacoma Rockets in 1952. The arena held 3,816 people. It was originally owned by Reinhold "Reiny" Striech and his wife Bernice "Bernie". His family now owns and operates Striech brothers machine shop on the Tacoma waterfront.
