Mima mounds

Mima mounds are low, flattened, circular to oval, domelike, natural mounds found in the northwestern United States, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, that are composed of loose, unstratified, often gravelly sediment that is an overthickened A Horizon. These mounds range in diameter from 3 to more than 50 m; in height 30 cm to greater than 2 m; and in density from several to greater than 50 mounds per hectare.

Grand Mound, Washington

Grand Mound is a census-designated place (CDP) in Thurston County, Washington, United States. It was named and founded by Jotham Weeks Judson, father of Phoebe Judson, in 1851. The population was 1,948 at the 2000 census. In 2007, the population was 2,232. This area uses the 98579 zip code, which also includes Rochester and Gate, and has a total area population of approximately 12,000.

South Sound Speedway

South Sound Speedway is a .375-mile oval race track with a Figure 8 course, located near Grand Mound and Rochester, Washington. It was first constructed by Dick and Wanda Boness but is now owned by Butch Behn. It has previously hosted the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and was owned by Jerry Cope, the uncle of Derrike Cope.

KNBQ (102.9 FM) is a sports talk formatted radio station serving the Seattle-Tacoma area. The station is licensed to Centralia, Washington. At 7 AM on November 4, 2011, KNBQ started simulcasting sports talk station KJR (AM), becoming "Sports Radio 950 and 102.9 KJR". The station's calls were not changed because its sister station KJR-FM, located on 95.7 FM, already has them.
