Newcastle, Washington

Newcastle is an Eastside city in King County, Washington, United States. Its population was 10,380 at the 2010 census. Although Newcastle was not incorporated until 1994, it has been an important settlement and town since the late 19th century and played a major role in the development of Seattle and the Seattle region. Newcastle was one of the region's earliest coal mining areas and its railroad link to Seattle was the first in King County.

Newport High School (Bellevue, Washington)

Newport High School (NHS) is a public secondary school in Bellevue, Washington. It serves students in grades 9–12 in the southern part of the Bellevue School District, including the neighborhoods of Eastgate, Factoria, Newport Hills, Newport Shores, Somerset, The Summit, and Sunset. As of the 2010–2011 school year, the principal is Heidi Fedore and the assistant principals are Dusty Steere and Dan Irvine. The mascot is the Knight, and the school colors are crimson and gold.

Coal Creek (Washington)

Coal Creek is a creek in Newcastle, Washington, USA, on Seattle's Eastside. It is named for the coal mining industry prominent in the area in the 19th century. There is a popular trail which parallels the creek, allowing views of defunct coal mining equipment and even some bits of coal sitting on the ground in spots. The source of Coal Creek is 1,400 feet above sea level on Cougar Mountain. It flows approximately 7 miles to the northwest, emptying into Lake Washington at Newport Shores.

Factoria, Bellevue, Washington

Factoria is a mixed-use urban neighborhood in south Bellevue, Washington and is one of the city's significant commercial districts. Originally timberland from the 1890s to 1920s and later envisioned as an industrial center, Factoria has since the 1960s evolved into commercial and residential development. Factoria was annexed into Bellevue in 1993.
