Lake Wenatchee State Park

Lake Wenatchee State Park covers 489 acres with 12,623 feet of waterfront on Lake Wenatchee and the Wenatchee River. Lake Wenatchee is a glacier and snowmelt fed lake situated in the Wenatchee National Forest on the eastern slopes of the Cascades Mountain Range in the U. S. State of Washington. It is split into two parts, the North Shore and South Shore state parks, separated by the Wenatchee River. The lake covers 2,480 acres and reaches a depth of 244 feet .

Lake Wenatchee State Airport

Lake Wenatchee State Airport is a public use airport located 14 nautical miles (26 km) northwest of the central business district of Leavenworth, a city in Chelan County, Washington, United States. It is owned by the Washington State DOT Aviation Division. The airport is located next to Lake Wenatchee State Park with 197 well prepared campsites. Outdoor toilets and space for camping are also available on the airport. Fishing, water recreation, and hiking are available at the nearby lakes.

Chelan County, Washington

Chelan County is a county located in the U.S. state of Washington. As of the 2010 census, its population was 72,453. It is part of the 'Wenatchee–East Wenatchee, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area'. The county seat is at Wenatchee, which is also the county's largest city. "Chelan" derives from a Chelan Indian word meaning "deep water," likely a reference to 55-mile -long Lake Chelan, which reaches a maximum depth of 1,486 feet (453 m).

Leavenworth (Amtrak station)

Leavenworth "Icicle" Station (LWA) is a station stop for Amtrak's Empire Builder in Leavenworth, Washington. The station started service on September 25, 2009. The station and parking are owned by the City of Leavenworth, Washington. The track and platforms are owned by BNSF Railway. There is no Amtrak Thruway Motorcoach connection at this station, but there is a stop at SR 2 and Icicle road.
