Grays River, Washington

Grays River is an unincorporated rural village in Wahkiakum County, Washington, United States. Grays River stands on the north bank of the lower Grays River, which flows into the Columbia River estuary. The National Register of Historic Places-listed Grays River Covered Bridge crosses the Grays River in the community. It is the only such bridge still in use in Washington. A low-power repeater in the community rebroadcasts Oregon Public Broadcasting television programming.

Frankfort, Washington

Frankfort was originally homesteaded in 1876 in Pacific County on the mouth of the Columbia River near Portuguese Point. In 1890, a planned community was platted by two promoters Frank Bourne and Frank Scott (whence the name). Together they envisioned a resort community at the location. Lots were sold on the premise that the railroad would build a line through the community (the only access at the time was via boat).

Grays Point (Washington)

Grays Point is the western, downstream point of Grays Bay, on the north shore of the Columbia River estuary, at river mile 20, in Washington State, United States of America. Grays Point sticks out slightly and bluntly from the greater headland at the west of that bay. It is wooded, and rises to 151 feet height.

Wahkiakum County, Washington

Wahkiakum County is a county located in the U.S. state of Washington. It is named after Chief Wahkiakum of the Chinook. As of the 2010 census, the population was 3,978. The county seat is the town of Cathlamet, which is also the county's largest and only incorporated community. The County operates the Wahkiakum County Ferry, which connects Cathlamet to Westport, Oregon, across the Columbia River. Wahkiakum County was formed out of Cowlitz County on April 25, 1854.

USS Plainview (AGEH-1)

USS Plainview (AGEH–1) was, in its time, the world's largest hydrofoil. Named for the cities of Plainview, New York and Plainview, Texas, she was also the United States Navy's first hydrofoil research ship. Plainview was laid down 8 May 1964 by the Lockheed Shipbuilding and Construction Company, Seattle, Washington; launched 28 June 1965; sponsored by Mrs. John T. Hayward; and placed in service on 3 March 1969.
