It is included in the Mount Vernon-Anacortes, Washington, Metropolitan Statistical Area. The county seat is at Mount Vernon, which is also the county's largest city. KSVU

KSVU is an American community radio station broadcasting a variety format. Licensed to broadcast from Hamilton, Washington, USA, the station serves the Skagit Valley from Sedro Woolley to eastern Skagit County; the station is currently owned by the Board of Trustees of Skagit Valley College and is a sister-station of KSVR FM.
