Sourdough Mountains

The Sourdough Mountains, also called Sourdough Ridge, is a mountain range on the northeast side of Mount Rainier in Mount Rainier National Park, Washington, USA. The range forms an L-shape, starting at Mount Fremont, running east to Dege Peak, turning north to Slide Mountain. The range is a popular hiking destination, due to the excellent view of Mount Rainier and its proximity to roads and the Sunrise Visitor Center.

Crystal Mountain (Washington)

Crystal Mountain is an alpine ski resort in the Cascade Range of Washington state. Located in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Crystal is the largest ski resort in the state and is readily accessible from the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area through Enumclaw via Highway 410. It is primarily a day-use area, with eleven chairlifts, various dining locations, and multiple hotels. Crystal is home to the Mt.

Naches Pass

Naches Pass (elevation 4,928 feet) is a mountain pass of the Cascade Range in the U.S. state of Washington. It is located about 50 miles east of Tacoma and about 50 miles northwest of Yakima, near the headwaters of tributary streams of the Naches River on the east and the Greenwater River on the west. The boundaries of Pierce, King, Kittitas, and Yakima counties come together precisely at Naches Pass.

Chinook Pass

Chinook Pass (elevation 5430 ft./1656 m. ) is a pass through the Cascade Range in the state of Washington. The pass provides the east entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, and carries State Route 410 between the towns of Enumclaw and Naches. Because of the high elevation, Chinook Pass is usually closed in November due to very heavy snow and significant avalanche danger. It usually opens in mid May and is not uncommon to have a snow depth at the summit of up to 15-feet.
