Mark Clark Bridge
The Mark Clark Bridge, built in 1949, carried Washington State Route 532 across the Stillaguamish River to connect Stanwood, Washington to Camano Island. It provided the only road access to the island. The bridge was named to honor General Mark W. Clark, a decorated Army officer of World War II who earlier served at Fort Lewis and spent much of his retirement on Camano Island.

Stanwood (Amtrak station)
Stanwood is a railroad station in Stanwood, Washington, USA that opened on November 21, 2009, with service on Amtrak's Cascades. Construction was originally slated to begin in January 2009, with the stop expected to open in the following June, but by November 2008 was expected to begin in March 2009 with the opening in September. The discovery of lead contamination on the project site further pushed back the opening of the station to mid-November 2009.

Stanwood High School is a public high school located in the city of Stanwood, Washington about 50 miles north of Seattle. There are approximately 1,400 students between the 9th and 12th grades placing it at the 3A competition level in the state of Washington. Teams participate in the WesCo athletic conference.
