East Bank, West Virginia
East Bank is a town in Kanawha County, West Virginia, along the Kanawha River. The population was 959 at the 2010 census. East Bank was incorporated in 1889 by special charter enacted by the West Virginia Legislature. It is so named because of its location east of Coalburg and the "bank" referring to the old terminology for a coal mine. East Bank was formerly known as Hampton and Pryor. East Bank was the site of Cabin Creek District High School, erected 1912.

The school opened in 1999 as a result of the consolidation of DuPont High School (AA) in Dupont City and East Bank High School (AA) in East Bank. Students from both of those former high schools, Cedar Grove and Montgomery areas attend the school. The school's attendance district runs from the Kanawha-Fayette county line to the Charleston city limits.

Cedar Grove is a town in Kanawha County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 997 at the 2010 census. Cedar Grove was incorporated in 1902. Its name is derived from the fact that at the time the town was established, a large juniper forest, misidentified as cedars by early settlers, was growing at that location. Cedar Grove is the site of Fort Kelley and the oldest settlement in the Kanawha Valley, dating from 1773.
