Kate's Mountain
Kate's Mountain, south of White Sulphur Springs in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, was named for Catherine "Kate" Carpenter, who in September 1756 took refuge with her child on the mountain's peak during an Indian attack in which her husband Nicholas Carpenter was killed near Fort Dinwiddie (also known as Byrd's Fort and Warwick's Fort) in the vicinity of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Kate's Mountain is the highest of the peaks in Greenbrier State Forest at 3,280 feet.

The Greenbrier is a Forbes four-star and AAA Five Diamond Award winning luxury resort located just outside the town of White Sulphur Springs in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, United States. For most of its history, the hotel was owned by the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway and its successors, including the CSX Corporation. Before its most recent purchase and sale, the hotel was operated by CSX Hotels, Inc. , a subsidiary of the CSX Corporation.

Greenbrier Classic
The Greenbrier Classic is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour, played on The Old White TPC at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. It made its debut in 2010 and replaced the long-standing Buick Open in Flint, Michigan on the tour schedule. Opened in 1914, The Old White course joined the TPC network of courses in March 2011. It was extended to 7,274 yards in 2012 at an average elevation of approximately 1,850 feet above sea level.
