Central Wisconsin Airport, referred to as "C-Way", is a public airport located 5 miles southeast of the central business district of Mosinee, in Marathon County, Wisconsin, United States. It is owned by Marathon County and Portage County. The airport serves the cities of Stevens Point, Wausau, Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, tourism communities in northern Wisconsin, and the smaller exurbs of Hatley, Bevent, Rosholt, and Five Corners.

Lake DuBay
Lake DuBay is a reservoir on the Wisconsin River in Marathon and Portage Counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The lake covers an area of 6,700 acres and has a maximum depth of 30 feet . A dam on the lake is used to generate hydroelectric power. The community of Knowlton is located on the shore of the lake, as are 122 homes and three parks. Interstate 39 and U.S. Route 51 provide access to the lake, as do several county highways.

Mead Wildlife Area
The Mead (George W. ) Wildlife Area is a state wildlife area covering 33,000 acres in central Wisconsin. It includes portions of Marathon, Portage, and Wood counties. It is managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR). The Area is commonly referred to as "the Mead". Eight WDNR staff manage the Area. The non-profit organization Friends of the Mead/McMillan Association, Inc. assist with raising funds to support the area's activities.
