Odanah is a census-designated place (CDP) in Ashland County, Wisconsin, in the town of Sanborn, United States. The population was 13 at the 2010 census. Odanah is the cultural and administrative center of the Bad River Chippewa Band of the Chippewa.

Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians

The Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians are a federally recognized tribe of Ojibwe people. The Bad River Reservation is located on the south shore of Lake Superior and has a land area of 497.477 km² (192.077 sq mi) in northern Wisconsin straddling Ashland and Iron counties. The tribe has approximately 7,000 members, of whom about 1,800 lived on the reservation during the 2000 census.

Kakagon Sloughs

Kakagon Sloughs is a lake in Ashland County, Wisconsin. Species of fish found in the lake include the northern pike, the walleye, panfish, the largemouth bass and the smallmouth bass. It is owned by the Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians. The lake was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1973. On February 2, 2012 it was designated a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance.
