Libby Creek

The Libby Creek is a 10.1-mile-long stream on the eastern slopes of the Snowy Range in southern Wyoming. Libby Creek starts as it flows out of Libby Lake and flows violently down the east side of the Snowies until it empties into the North Fork of the Little Laramie.

Medicine Bow Peak

Medicine Bow Peak is the highest peak in the Snowy Range, a part of the Medicine Bow Mountains, about 35 miles west of Laramie, Wyoming. It lies within Medicine Bow National Forest and is the highest point in southern Wyoming. The summit lies in extreme western Albany County, but the mountain's lower reaches stretch westward into eastern Carbon County.

United Airlines Flight 409

United Airlines Flight 409 was a scheduled flight departing from Denver, Colorado to Salt Lake City, Utah on October 6, 1955. The aircraft registration number was N30062, a Douglas DC-4 propliner. The aircraft crashed into Medicine Bow Peak, near Centennial, Wyoming, killing all 66 people on board (63 passengers, 3 crew members. ) The victims included five female members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and military personnel. At the time, this was the deadliest airline crash in U.S.
