Pilot Butte Dam

Pilot Butte Dam (National ID # WY01381) is a dam in Fremont County, Wyoming. The earthen dam was constructed in 1926 by the United States Bureau of Reclamation, with a height of 64 feet, and a length of 55 feet at its crest. It provides offstream storage for flood control and irrigation water as part of the larger Riverton unit of the extensive Pick–Sloan Missouri Basin Program. The dam is owned by the Bureau, and operated by the local Midvale Irrigation District.

Fremont County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wyoming. It was named in honor of John C. Frémont, a general, explorer, and politician. As of 2010, the population was 40,123. Its county seat is Lander. It is roughly the size of the state of Vermont.

Wyoming Indian High School

Wyoming Indian High School is located in Ethete, Wyoming, United States on the Wind River Reservation. It is part of Fremont County School District#14. Director Daniel Junge made a 2002 documentary film entitled Chiefs, chronicling life on the Wind River Reservation and the path of the school's basketball team to a state title. The film won the best documentary award at the Tribeca Film Festival.
