Rock Springs, Wyoming

Rock Springs is a city in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 23,036 at the 2010 census. Rock Springs is the principal city of the Rock Springs micropolitan statistical area, which has a population of 37,975. One of the worst race riots in American history, known as the Rock Springs Massacre, occurred among miners working near Rock Springs on September 2, 1885. There are still remains of the old coal mining towns outside of Rock Springs.

Blairtown, Wyoming

Blairtown is an unincorporated community in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, United States, near Rock Springs. This town was actually a mining area before it became a town. It was started by the Blair Brothers back in the 1860s. It has its own park and is located near a set of Union Pacific Railroad.

Western Wyoming Community College

Western Wyoming Community College (WWCC) is a two year college located in Rock Springs, Wyoming. WWCC offers various one year certificates, numerous two year associate degrees, and some four year degrees in cooperation with the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. The college students are known as the Mustangs. The campus itself is unique, owing to the harsh winters all of the main college is indoors, connected via hallways.
