Ninh Kiều is an urban district (quận) of Cần Thơ in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. Ninh Kiều is located at the centre of Cần Thơ. Most of Cần Thơ's municipal offices are located here. Ninh Kiều is located along the Bassac River. Its most attractive site is the wharf, along which there are several hotels and restaurants. Cờ Đỏ is a rural district of Can Tho in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 158,467. The district covers an area of 403 km². The district capital lies at Thoi Lai. The district borders Vinh Thanh district to the west, Kien Giang Province, Thot Not district to the north. The district is notable for being an important headquarters of agricultural research into rice production in the region and contains the office of top scientists.

Vị Thanh city

Vị Thanh is the capital city of Hau Giang province in Vietnam. Formerly, Long My was a town of Chương-Thiện province in South Vietnam. In 2004, Vị Thanh became the capital of Hậu Giang Province. It has an industrial zone of 880,000 square metres. There are roads, National Highway 61 (which leads to National Road 1A which leads to Cần Thơ Municipality on the Hau River which leads to Ho Chi Minh City), and water connections by canal and river to the Hau River.
