May 22 Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Aden, Yemen. It is currently used mostly for football matches and serves as the home stadium of Al-Tilal. The stadium holds 30,000 people. Aden is a seaport city in Yemen, located by the eastern approach to the Red Sea, some 110 miles (170 kilometres) east of Bab-el-Mandeb. Its population is approximately a million people. Aden's ancient, natural harbour lies in the crater of a dormant volcano which now forms a peninsula, joined to the mainland by a low isthmus. This harbour, Front Bay, was first used by the ancient Kingdom of Awsan between the 5th and 7th centuries BCE. The modern harbour is on the other side of the peninsula.

It is situated in a crater of an ancient volcano which forms the Shamsan Mountains. In 1991, the population was 70,319. In the closing days of British rule in 1967, Crater District became the focus of the Aden Emergency, sometimes called the last imperial war.
