Zabīd

Zabid (also spelled Zebid) is a town with an urban population of around 23,000 persons on Yemen's western coastal plain. The town, named after Wadi Zabid, the wadi (or valley) to its south, is one of the oldest towns in Yemen. It was the capital of Yemen from the 13th to the 15th century and a center of the Arab and Muslim world due in large part to its famed University of Zabid and being a center of Islamic education.

Bayt al-Faqih

Bayt al-Faqīh or Beit al-Faqih ; Arabic: بيت الفـــقية Bayt al-Faqīh, 'House of the Jurist'&#8206 is a city in Al Hudaydah Governorate in Yemen. It is located on the pilgrimage and trade route across the Tihamah plain between Al Hudaydah and Ta'izz. It is 50 km south of Al Hudaydah and 150 km southwest of the Yemeni capital of San‘a’ and lies at an altitude of 122m. Its population was 28,773 in the 1994 census and estimated at 41,652 in 2005.
