Valbonë (river)

The Valbonë or Valbona is a river in northern Albania. It is still relatively untouched. Its source is in the Prokletije, near the border with Montenegro. The Valbonë flows generally east through the municipality Margegaj (mountain villages Valbonë, Dragobi and Shoshan), then turns south along Bajram Curri, and continues southwest until its outflow into the river Drin, near Fierzë. It is one of the cleanest rivers in the country. The river creates and goes along the Valbonë valley

Tropojë District

The District of Tropoja (Albanian: Rrethi i Tropojës) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania, part of Kukës County. It has a population of 16,260 (2010 estimate), and an area of 1,043 km². It is in the north of the country, and its capital is Bajram Curri. The area is also known for its massive chestnuts forests and the Valbonë river, as well a rich folk culture. The district consists of the following communes: Bujan Bytyç Fierzë Lekbibaj Llugaj Margegaj Tropojë

Maja e Hekurave is a mountain in the Prokletije in the country of Albania. At 2,561 m, it is one of the highest peaks in the mountain range. Maja Hekurave is a popular tourist spot.

Tropojë Lake

Tropojë Lake (Albanian: Liqeni i Tropojës) is a small mountain lake in the Prokletije mountains in western Kosovo, only 180m from the Albanian border. The lake has an oval shape and is 100m in length and 40m in width. Rivers that originate on this lake flow downwards to join larger rivers and then finally flow into the White Drin.

Maja Grykat e Hapëta

Maja Grykat e Hapëta is a mountain located in northern Albania in the Prokletije. It is found to the southeast of Maja Jezercë, south of the upper Valbonë valley. It is one of the highest mountains in the mountain range at 2,625 m high. In fact, it is the third highest after Maja Jezercë at 2,694 m in Albania and Đeravica at 2,656 m in Kosovo. Like many of the other mountains surrounding it, Maja Grykat e Hapëta has a stony texture near its summit.
