Mother Albania (statue)

Mother Albania is a 12 m statue located at the National Martyrs Cemetery of Albania (Albanian: Dëshmorët e Kombit) in Albania, dedicated in 1971. The statue figuratively represents the country as a mother guarding over the eternal slumber of those who gave their lives for her. There are 28,000 graves of Albanian partisans in the cemetery, all of whom perished during World War II. The massive statue holds a wreath of laurels and a star.

Massacre of 1951 in Albania

The Massacre of 1951 in Albania was the killing without trial of 22 intellectuals in the Socialist People's Republic of Albania on 26 February 1951, as ordered by Enver Hoxha, accused of bombing the Soviet Union's embassy in Tirana. The victims were 21 males and one female. One day earlier, another person, Jonuz Kaceli had been killed while accused of the same crime. It was the first time the Agitation and Propaganda law was used.

Qemal Stafa Stadium

The Qemal Stafa Stadium (Albanian: Stadiumi Qemal Stafa), named after Qemal Stafa a World War II hero, is a national stadium and the largest football stadium in Tirana, Albania. Construction started in 1939 and the stadium was inaugurated in 1946 for the Balkan Cup, which was won by the Albania national football team. The stadium has been used for football matches of the Albanian Superliga and the national team, athletic events, and the six Albanian Spartakiads.

ABA Business Center is the tallest building of Tirana, Albania. It's 83 m (272 ft). It consists of 21 floors above the ground, and 3 underground floors. The 3 levels under ground consist of Car Parking. Minus level 1 is shopping as is ground, 1, 2, and 3. Level 4 consists of a food court area. Level 5 is Gym and Centre Management. Every level from there is office space up to the top three levels. Top floor is a city view restaurant and the next two floors are apartments.
