Sarandë District
The District of Sarandë (Albanian: Rrethi i Sarandës) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania, found in southern Albania, in the County of Vlorë. The area of the district is 749 square kilometers. The population of the district was 48,474 (2010 estimate). According to the census of January 1993, it was 53,700. The centre of the district is the city of Sarandë. Other places include Konispol (at the border with Greece), Ksamil (a resort), Çukë, Vrinë and Butrint (an archeological site).

It overlooks the Ionian Sea and it is quite large in size. Beside it is the Butrinti (Bouthroton) site which is full of ancient history and is one of Albania's most popular tourist attractions.
