Shaki Waterfall is Armenia's highest waterfall, with a height of 18 m. It is located in Syunik Province. The Shaki Waterfall is situated 6 km from the town of Sisian. On the left side of the river Vorotan's gorge, basalt lava flows have solidified to form a ledge 18 meters high from which the waterfall cascades down.

1931 Zangezur earthquake
The 1931 Zangezur earthquake occurred on April 27, 1931 at 16:50 UTC with an estimated magnitude of Ms 6.3 or Ms 6.5, according to different sources. The earthquake was located in the Zangezur Mountains near the boundary between southwestern Armenia and Azerbaijan's exclave, the Nakhichivan Autonomous Republic. Both territories were part of the Soviet Union at that time.
