Aghavnadzor, Vayots Dzor

Aghavnadzor (Armenian: Աղավնաձոր; also Romanized as Akhavnadzor and Agavnadzor; formerly Aynadzor) is a village in the Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia. 1 km east of the village is the 13th c. Aghjkaberd fort. The 12th century church of S. Astvatsatsin is 4 km northeast, with a funerary monument from the year 1009 nearby. The ruins of a caravanserai are 4 km northwest, and 4 km north is the 13-14th c. Ul Gyughi church.

Shatin, Armenia

Shatin (Armenian: Շատին; formerly, Shatik, Hesan Kand, Gasankend, and Hasankand) is a town in the Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia. The town is home to the only mountain goat observation point in Armenia. The observation point was constructed with the help of the Norwegian and Armenian governments, the World Wildlife Fund and Safari organizations.
