Conargo

Conargo is a town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The town is the seat of Conargo Shire. It is on the Billabong Creek, a tributary of the Murrumbidgee River. The nearest towns are Jerilderie and Deniliquin. At the 2006 census, Conargo had a population of 188 people. The Aboriginal name for the locality of Conargo was 'Gooriara', meaning "hopping" or "kangaroo ground".

Conargo Shire

Conargo Shire is a local government area in the Riverina region in southern New South Wales, Australia. The Shire is the smallest local government area in New South Wales, using population as the measure. Conargo Shire was established in 1907. In 2001 the former Windouran shire was absorbed into Conargo Shire. This amalgamation resulted in an additional 5,090 square kilometres and another 387 residents.

Mayrung, New South Wales

Mayrung is a community in the central part of the Riverina about 55 kilometres east of Pretty Pine and 40 kilometres north-east of Deniliquin. The Wiradjuri Aborigines, who inhabited the district prior to white settlement, called it 'Carawatha', which is thought to mean 'place of pines'. Mayrung is situated within the Berriquin Irrigation Area which supplies wool, wheat, fat lambs, rice, dairy products, vegetables, cereals, cattle and pigs.

2QN is a radio station based in Deniliquin, New South Wales, Australia. It broadcasts on the medium wave radio band, at a frequency of 1521 kHz. 2QN focuses on "Classic Hits", and has a 25+ years target audience.
