Lue, New South Wales

Lue is a very small town in New South Wales, Australia. At the 2006 census, Lue and the surrounding rural area had a population of 815. Lue is located on the now-closed Gwabegar railway line between the larger towns of Rylstone and Mudgee, about 20 kilometres south-east of Mudgee. It is not on the main road, but the Countrylink bus services from Gulgong detours several times a week to service Lue.

Mid-Western Regional Council

The Mid-Western Regional Council is a local government area in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. The area under administration is located adjacent to the Castlereagh Highway that passes through the middle of the area in an approximate southeast-northwest direction. Mid-Western Regional Council was proclaimed on 26 May 2004 and incorporates the whole of the former Mudgee Shire Council and parts of the former Merriwa and Rylstone Shires.

Windamere Dam

Windamere Dam is 69-metre, earth and rock fill embankment dam on the Cudgegong River near Mudgee, New South Wales, Australia. The Cudgegong River eventually flows into the Burrendong Dam reservoir. The dam was built by the New South Wales Department of Water Resources to supply water for irrigation, stock and domestic demands and was completed in 1984. Geotechnical problems included excessive grout takes in highly fractured rock in the dam foundation.

Kandos, New South Wales

Kandos is a small town in New South Wales, Australia, in the Mid-Western Regional Council. It is located on the Bylong Valley Way. At the 2006 census, Kandos had a population of 1,306 people. The main non-agricultural industry was the production of cement, however, the cement manufacturing facility and associated limestone quarry (both operated by Cement Australia) was closed in September 2011. The town contains the northern-most field support centre of Integral Energy.

Rylstone is a small town in New South Wales, Australia, in the Central Tablelands region within the Mid-Western Regional Council local government area. It is located on the Bylong Valley Way road route. At the 2006 census, Rylstone had a population of 615 people.
