Strike-a-Light River

Strike-a-Light River, a perennial stream that is part of the Murrumbidgee catchment within the Murray–Darling basin, is located in the Monaro region of New South Wales, Australia. The river rises on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range, near Jerangle, and flows generally north north-west, north-west, south-west and then south, joined by three minor tributaries, before reaching its confluence with the Bredbo River, east of Bredbo; descending 464 metres over its 38 kilometres course.

Big Badja Hill

Big Badja Hill, or Big Badga Mountain is on the Great Dividing Range in south eastern Australia, 47 kilometres north-east of Cooma. Its height is 1363 metres above sea level. It is on the western edge of Deua National Park. Plants found nearby are the Big Badja Gum and Kunzea sp. Jerangle is a small country village in New South Wales, Australia on the coastal side of Bredbo. It contains a cemetery, two churches, a school, a CWA hall and phone box. It is a community with a population of about 100. The main location is the school; Jerangle Public School.
