Brown Hill, Victoria

Brown Hill is a suburb of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia on the eastern rural-urban fringe of the city, 5 kilometres east of the Central Business District. The population at the 2006 census was 2,057. The suburb's name is a corruption of Brownbill's Hill, which was named after prospector William Brownbill, who early during the Ballarat gold rush claimed and settled the area.

Warrenheip railway station

Warrenheip is a closed station located in the town of Warrenheip, on the Serviceton railway line in Victoria, Australia. The Geelong-Ballarat line junctions off at the down end of the former station. The line though the station opened in 1862, on the double track railway from Geelong to Ballarat. The station opened in 1873, becoming a junction in 1879 when a branch line was built towards Gordon station, the direct line to Melbourne not completed until 1889.

Ballarat East, Victoria

Ballarat East, is a suburb of Ballarat in Victoria, Australia. Ballarat East covers a large area east (and also north) of the CBD. It is the oldest area in Ballarat and was once also a municipality known as the Ballarat East Town Council between 1859 and 1921. The population of Ballarat East at the 2006 census was 4,995 making it the fifth most populated in the Ballarat urban area.
