Tostaree railway station

Tostaree Railway Station was opened on Monday 10 April 1916 as part of the Orbost railway line. The station has long since closed, with the last train passing the site in 1987. Little evidence remains of the former station site other than tracks across the roadway, however the site remains as part of the East Gippsland Rail Trail, which follows the route of the former rail line.

Nowa Nowa, Victoria

Nowa Nowa is a small town in the Australian state of Victoria. It is in East Gippsland, near Lakes Entrance. At the 2006 census, Nowa Nowa and the surrounding area had a population of 144. Nowa Nowa Post Office opened on 11 March 1893, though closed for about five years 1895 to 1900. Nowa Nowa railway station on the former Orbost railway line opened in April 1916, with the line closing in 1987.

Nowa Nowa railway station

Nowa Nowa Railway Station was opened on Monday, 10 April 1916 to service the town of Nowa Nowa as part of the Orbost railway line. The station has long since closed, with the last train passing the site in 1987. The station site remains just north of the realigned East Gippsland Rail Trail, which follows the route of the former rail line, with the station site itself now used as an emergency helicopter landing place.
