Schöpfl

Schöpfl is the highest hill (893 m) in the Wienerwald mountain range (Vienna woods), the north-easternmost part of the Alps. Geologically, it belongs to the flysch Alps. The main top of the wooded mountain range carries a high observation tower which enables a 100 km sight to the Northern Limestone Alps in the west and the Carpathian Mountains in the east. At the Mitterschöpfl (approx. 880 m above sea level), the University of Vienna's Leopold Figl observatory is located.

Gölsen

The Gölsen is a tributary of the Traisen that is located in the Lower Austrian region of Mostviertel. The river begins in Hainfeld with the merging of the Fliedersbach and the Ramsaubach (also called the Innere Gölsen). It then flows through the communities of Hainfeld, Rohrbach an der Gölsen, and Sankt Veit an der Gölsen, before meeting the Traisen at Traisen. The Gölsen flows in an east-west direction and is only around 15 km long with a difference in elevation of 80 meters.
