Manhartsberg

Manhartsberg is a low, flat-lying mountain ridge in Lower Austria. It rises to a maximum height of 537 m. It is the southeastern flank of the granite Bohemian massif. The ridge runs from the Thaya river up to the Wagram mountain range and is partly overlaid with Neogene sediments, primarily clays, sands and gravels of the Vienna Basin formations. This ridge continues to the northeast into Moravia in the area near Znojmo.

Rosenburg

Rosenburg is a castle in the municipality Rosenburg-Mold, Lower Austria, Austria. It is situated on a cliff above the valley of the river Kamp. It is one of Austria's most visited Renaissance castles. There has been a castle on this site since the 12th century. The castle was reconstructed in Renaissance style in 1593-1597, and it was further expanded in the course of the 17th century. After neglection and fires in the 18th and 19th centuries, the castle was renovated between 1859 and 1889.

Altenburg Abbey

Altenburg Abbey (Stift Altenburg) is a Benedictine monastery in Altenburg in Lower Austria. It was founded in 1144 by Countess Hildeburg of Boigen-Rebgau. Under the abbots Maurus Boxler and Placidus Much the abbey took on its present Baroque form.

Sandberg Celtic city

The Sandberg, a hill ridge in the northwestern part of the Weinviertel region of Lower Austria approximately 70 km north of Vienna, has recently emerged as one of the potentially most important archeological sites of the middle La Tène culture in Central Europe. The settlement which flourished there was not fortified, and therefore does not qualify as an oppidum.
