Faror island

Faror Island is an island of Hormozgan Province in Iran. It is located 36 miles from the city of Abu Moussa and 141 miles from Bandar Abbas. The island is currently uninhabited save from a few government officials that reside there. Greater Faror Island is situated in one of the world's earthquake belts. Smarhon (air base)

Smarhon (also Smorgon and Smorgon Northwest) was a Soviet Air Force base in Belarus located 8 km northwest of Smarhon. It was a small 1950s airfield with an unpaved revetment complex hidden in the forest to northwest. The airfield is currently abandoned and increasingly overgrown.
