Moerbrugge is a village in the Belgian province of West Flanders, in the municipality of Oostkamp. It was the site of a bridgehead that the Canadian 4th Armoured Division used to cross the Ghent-Bruges Canal during the Battle of the Scheldt on 10 September 1944.

Loppem Castle

Loppem Castle (Dutch: Kasteel van Loppem) is a castle situated in Loppem in the municipality of Zedelgem, near Bruges in West Flanders, in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It was built between 1859 and 1862 for Baron Charles van Caloen and his family, and designed by architects E.W. Pugin and Jean-Baptiste de Béthunein 1856. It is considered a masterpiece of civil Gothic Revival architecture.

The Koninklijk Atheneum Vijverhof (Koninklijk Atheneum II, its administration name) (Royal Athenaeum Vijverhof in English) is a secondary school situated in Sint-Michiels, a suburb of Bruges. It is part of the school group "Brugge-Oostkust" (Bruges-Eastcoast in English). The school offers education in the ASO (General Secondary Education) division. There is a free choice of religion at the school.

La Brugeoise et Nivelles

La Brugeoise et Nivelles SA, later BN Constructions Ferroviaries et Métalliques (abbrev. BN), was a Belgian manufacturer of railway locomotives and other rolling stock; it was formed by a merger of two companies: La Brugeoise et Nicaise et Delcuve and Les Ateliers Métallurgiques de Nivelles. The company was acquired by Bombardier Inc. in 1988, plants in Nivelles and Manage closed in 1989 and 2000; as of 2011, the plant located in Bruges operated as Bombardier Transportation Belgium S.A..
