Les Moëres

De Moeren (Dutch) or Les Moëres (French) are a marshy region in the Westhoek, politically divided between the French-Belgian border. At one time the area was inhabited by the Gallic people known as the Morini; they are believed to have lent their name to the territory.

Izenberge

Izenberge is a small Flemish village in the Belgian province of "West-Vlaanderen". Since a fusion in the seventies it belongs now to the larger agglomeration of Alveringem. It's the home of the open air museum Bachten De Kupe and a local museum of strange curiosities. It has also, besides a picturesque Romanesque church, a very beautiful baroque chapel, which is still a place of pilgrimage. Events: in August there is the annual funfair with a flea market (15 August).

Adinkerke

Adinkerke a small town in western Belgium close to the French border. It is a conurbation with the coastal town of De Panne which in turn is part of the west Belgian coastal conurbation. Adinkerke railway station is also the Western terminus of the Belgian coast tram line to De Panne; Nieuwpoort, Ostend and beyond. Near the city is Plopsaland. The 'kerke' suffix is common in west Flanders as an area surrounding a church. The closest French town is Ghyvelde and Bray dunes.
