A1 highway (Botswana)

The A1 highway in Botswana is a road that runs from the Zimbabwean border near Ramokgwebana through Francistown and Gaborone, the capital city of Botswana, to Ramatlabama at the border with South Africa. Crossing the Ramokgwebana River into Zimbabwe, it continues as the A7 to Bulawayo. On the South African end it continues as the N18 to Mafikeng. Decisions were made to install a toll point along that road in 2007.

Mapoka

Mapoka is a small village in the North-East District of Botswana. Its neighboring villages are Nlakhwane, Moroka, and Masukwane. The 2001 population and housing census put its population at 1,540. There is one primary school and one secondary school in the village. Mapoka Primary School is famous nationally for being one of the oldest in the country and for having educated some of the country's most prominent figures.

Masunga

Masunga is one of Bakalanga settlements located in the North-East District of Botswana. The village is the Headquarters of the North East District. The nearest city is Francistown which is +/- 120 km (74.5 mi). The Chief of the region is Thabo Maruje Masunga who recently took over from his uncle Christopher Masunga. Near Masunga lie the hills of Dombo Shaba, that hold a ruined outpost of the Kalanga Empire,more like Great Zimbabwe.
