Sadovo

Sadovo is a small town in the Plovdiv Province, central Bulgaria. The population as of 2006 is 2,551. Most of the people are employed in agriculture, which due to the fertile soils and the high levels of mechanization is efficient and highly productive. Major crops are apples, tomatoes, peppers, wheat, barley and rice. Sadovo has the highest recorded temperature in Bulgaria: 45,2°C.

Stryama

The Stryama (Bulgarian: Стряма, known in Antiquity as Syrmus) is a river in southern Bulgaria, an important left tributary of the Maritsa. The river is 110.1 km long and has a drainage basin of 2,853 km². The Stryama takes it source from the Balkan Mountains under Vezhen Peak, named Kameniditsa in this section, turning east at Stryama Station to pass close to Klisura and turn southeast at Rozino entering the Karlovo Plain.

Skutare

Skutare is a village in the Maritsa municipality, southern Bulgaria. As of 2006 it has 2 091 inhabitants. Skutare is situated about 9 km. outside of the city of Plovdiv. A major foreign plant (Bulsafil, Italian) producing fabrics was built in the village and was one of the first large investment projects in the region.

Krumovo

Krumovo is a village in the Plovdiv Province, southern Bulgaria. As of 2006 it has 3,378 inhabitants. The village is located at 2 km to the south of the Maritsa river and at 12 km to the south-east of Plovdiv. The Plovdiv International Airport is located in the vicinity of the village. It is also famous for its grapes sort Krumovski mavrud. Every 2 years the BIAF Airshow is held on the Krumovo Airbase, resulting in heavy parking problems in the village.

Arapovo Monastery

The Arapovo Monastery of Saint Nedelya (Bulgarian: Араповски манастир „Света Неделя“, Arapovski manastir „Sveta Nedelya“) is a Bulgarian Orthodox monastery lying some six kilometres east of the town of Asenovgrad in central southern Bulgaria. Founded in the mid-19th century, it belongs to the Plovdiv eparchy of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and was named after the nearby village of Arapovo, today known as Zlatovrah.
