Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo

Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Yaoundé, Cameroon. It is used mostly for football matches and it also has athletics facilities. The stadium has seats for 38,720 people. For important matches standing areas can also be created, thus increasing the capacity. http://www. fussballtempel. net/caf/listecaf. html It was built in 1972, and is the home stadium of the Canon Yaoundé and Tonnerre Yaoundé. The stadium is also known as the home venue of the Cameroonian national football.

Second Battle of Jaunde

The Second Battle of Jaunde involved the successful British and French assault on the German capital of Jaunde during the Kamerun Campaign of the First World War. After the failure of the First Battle of Jaunde during the summer of 1915, the bulk of Allied forces had retreated to the Kele river. Following the Second Duala Conference where Allied commanders discussed the situation, it was decided that another assault should be attempted.

Cameroon

Cameroon, officially the Republic of Cameroon (French: République du Cameroun), is a country in west Central Africa. It is bordered by Nigeria to the west; Chad to the northeast; the Central African Republic to the east; and Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo to the south. Cameroon's coastline lies on the Bight of Bonny, part of the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean. The country is called "Africa in miniature" for its geological and cultural diversity.

First Battle of Jaunde

The First Battle of Jaunde involved the attempted British and French assault on the German capital of Jaunde during the Kamerun Campaign of the First World War. Due to a lack of coordination, difficult terrain, adverse weather conditions, and stiff German resistance, the attack was forced to retreat in late June 1915. Another assault on the capital would not be conducted until later that year.
