Atlas Coal Mine

The Atlas Coal Mine is a former coal mine in Alberta, Canada. Located in East Coulee, it is home to the last standing wooden coal tipple in Canada. It was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1989.

Dalum, Alberta

Dalum is an unincorporated community in Alberta, Canada. It is situated 15 kilometres south of Drumheller, Alberta, at the intersection of Highway 569 and Highway 56, at an elevation of 875 meters . It was established by a Danish group called the Dansk Folksamfund. The settlement is located in census division No. 5 and in the federal riding of Crowfoot. It is administered by Wheatland County. The community is home to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Dalum.

Dorothy, Alberta

Dorothy is a hamlet in southern Alberta, Canada within Special Area No. 2. It is located approximately 21 kilometres east Highway 56 and 85 kilometres northwest of Brooks. Dorothy is home to two former churches, a United Church that was in service between 1932 and 1961, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church that was in service between 1944 and 1967. They hosted numerous social events for the area.

Star Mine Suspension Bridge

The Star Mine Suspension Bridge is a 117 meter long pedestrian suspension bridge across the Red Deer River in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada. Constructed in 1931, it was built for the coal workers of Star Mine. In 1958, the Alberta provincial government rebuilt (and currently maintains) the bridge to "commemorate part of the colourful mining history of the Drumheller Valley."

Wayne, Alberta

Wayne was an unincorporated community in southern Alberta in Wheatland County, located 5.5 kilometres south of Rosedale on Highway 10X, 104 kilometres northeast of Calgary. It is now administered by the town of Drumheller. The community lies in the Rosebud River valley, at an elevation of 695 metres . Wayne was the site of several coal mines that were closed in the 1950s. It is host to a few historic sites, including the Rosedeer Hotel.
