Greenwood, British Columbia

Greenwood (2011 population 708) is a small city in south central British Columbia. It was incorporated in 1897 and was formerly one of the principal cities of the Boundary Country smelting and mining district. It earned the "city" status and has retained that title despite the population implosion following the closure of the area's industries. It is therefore, "Canada's Smallest City", as it styles itself. It is located along Highway 3 near Rock Creek and Grand Forks.

Boundary Falls (British Columbia)

Phoenix, British Columbia

Phoenix is a ghost town in the Boundary Country of British Columbia, Canada, 11 km east of Greenwood. Once called the “highest city in Canada” by its citizens (1,412 metres / 4,633 feet above sea level) it was a booming copper mining community from the late 1890s until 1919. In its heyday it was home to 1,000 citizens and had an opera house, twenty hotels, a brewery and its own city hall.

Jolly Jack Creek

Jolly Jack Creek is a creek located in British Columbia. The creek flows south into Boundary Creek. This creek was named after local prospector Jolly Jack Thornton who was the second white settler in the district. This creek is also called "Jolly Creek".

Eholt, British Columbia

Eholt is a ghost town in British Columbia, Canada, 14 km from present day Greenwood. It was named for Louis Eholt, the man who provided the land for the village. The town of Eholt was founded in 1898 and served as a CPR headquarters for the hauling of copper mined in nearby Phoenix. At its peak Eholt had a population of 300 and boasted five hotels, three restaurants, a livery, a butcher shop, a drug store, a clothing and dry goods store, a blacksmith shop and other amenities.
