CBNT-DT is the CBC Television owned-and-operated television station, serving the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador that is licensed to St. John's. It broadcasts a high-definition digital signal on VHF channel 8 from a transmitter located just south-southwest of George's Pond in St. John's. Owned by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, its studios are located at 95 University Avenue, near the intersection of Westerland Road and the Prince Philip Parkway, in St. John's.

Bowring Park (St. John's)

Bowring Park, located in the Waterford Valley, St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, is one of the most scenic parks in the city. Entrance to the park is via Waterford Bridge Road, passing a sculptured duck pond and a statue of Peter Pan. The park land was donated to the city in 1911 by Sir Edgar Rennie Bowring on behalf of Bowring Brothers Ltd. on their 100th anniversary of commerce in Newfoundland. The park was officially opened by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Connaught.

Village Shopping Centre

The Village Shopping Centre (commonly referred to as The Village) is a shopping centre in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, and is the second largest mall in Newfoundland and Labrador (after the Avalon Mall, also in St. John's). It offers about 80 stores and services, a food court, and formerly contained a central water fountain area. Wal-Mart previously occupied the opposite side of the shopping centre, but was moved to neighbouring Mount Pearl as a 'box' store.

VOCM (AM)

VOCM (Voice of the Common Man) is an AM radio station in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, broadcasting at 590 kHz. Owned by Newcap Radio, VOCM first went on the air in 1936. October 19, 2011 marks 75 years of broadcasting for VOCM. Through the "VOCM/CFCB All-Newfoundland and Labrador Radio Network" of stations owned by Newcap, VOCM programming is carried throughout the province.

Goulds, St. John's

Goulds is a rural neighbourhood in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Goulds, a former town, was amalgamted with Wedgewood Park into the city of St. John's in 1991.
