Paradise is a town on the Avalon Peninsula in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The town is a part of the St. John's Metropolitan Area and borders the City of St. John's, the City of Mount Pearl, the Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip's, and the town of Conception Bay South. According to the 2011 Canadian census the population of Paradise is 17,695, after recording a 41% increase in population over five years.

Manuels River

The natural formation of Manuels River is located in the eastern portion of the Town of Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador. The river forms on the high lands of the central Avalon Plateau and plunges approximately 10 kilometers to empty into the waters of Conception Bay. The river is accessible via walking trails, which start at the Manuels River Natural Heritage Society chalet located along Route 60 (Conception Bay Highway).

Mount Pearl is the third largest community in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The city is located southwest of St. John's, on the eastern tip of the Avalon Peninsula on the island of Newfoundland. CBNT-DT is the CBC Television owned-and-operated television station, serving the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador that is licensed to St. John's. It broadcasts a high-definition digital signal on VHF channel 8 from a transmitter located just south-southwest of George's Pond in St. John's. Owned by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, its studios are located at 95 University Avenue, near the intersection of Westerland Road and the Prince Philip Parkway, in St. John's.
