Manuels River

The natural formation of Manuels River is located in the eastern portion of the Town of Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador. The river forms on the high lands of the central Avalon Plateau and plunges approximately 10 kilometers to empty into the waters of Conception Bay. The river is accessible via walking trails, which start at the Manuels River Natural Heritage Society chalet located along Route 60 (Conception Bay Highway).

Kelly's Island

Kelly's Island is one of three islands in Conception Bay, Newfoundland, Canada. There are no residences on Kelly's Island. The western end is Crown land which was used by local farmers for cattle grazing. The eastern end of the island was granted, in two identical grants, to two Church of England clergymen on December 31, 1899. Presumably in hopes of exploiting iron ore if it turned out that the then operating iron ore mine on nearby Bell Island ran under Kelly's Island.

Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador

Paradise is a town on the Avalon Peninsula in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The town is a part of the St. John's Metropolitan Area and borders the City of St. John's, the City of Mount Pearl, the Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philip's, and the town of Conception Bay South. According to the 2011 Canadian census the population of Paradise is 17,695, after recording a 41% increase in population over five years.

Lance Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador

Lance Cove #1 was a village located south of Wabana, Belle Island. The Way Office was established in 1888 and the first Way Master was William Clements. Lance Cove #2 was a small place with two families in the Harbor Main area in 1864. coord|47|28|N|53|04|W Lance Cove #3 was a small place with nine families in Trintiy district. The Way Office was established in 1886 and the first Way Master was Jesse Buckler and the first Post Master in 1891 was A. John Brown.
