Northeast Kings Education Centre

Northeast Kings Education Centre (NKEC or Northeast Kings), is a high school that opened in September 2001. It is located on Bains Road in Canning, Nova Scotia. The school replaced the high schools of Kings County Academy and Cornwallis District High School. NKEC's students more often than not come from the Canning, Kentville, and Centreville areas, after attending Kings County Academy, Aldershot Elementary School or Glooscap Elementary School.

Port Williams, Nova Scotia

Port Williams is a Canadian village in Kings County, Nova Scotia. It is located on the north bank of the Cornwallis River, opposite Greenwich and Wolfville. As of 2006, the population was 1,050. The bridge into Port Williams is one of the best places to see the incoming and outgoing tides of the Bay of Fundy. The Prescott House Museum is in nearby Starr's Point. The village has a community center which also operates as a C@P site. \t\t \t\t\tP7010407.

Cornwallis River

The Cornwallis River is a river in Nova Scotia, Canada. It has a meander length of approximately 48 km from its source on the North Mountain near Berwick to its mouth near Wolfville on the Minas Basin. The lower portion of the river is tidal and there are extensive tidal marshes in the lower reaches. While the river is no longer used for navigation, Port Williams was once an important destination for coastal shipping.

Greenwich, Nova Scotia

Greenwich is a Canadian rural community located in eastern Kings County, Nova Scotia. It was previously known as Noggins Corner, as travelers could procure a noggin of rum at a local public house. The community is bordered to the south by the Wolfville Ridge, immediately west of the town of Wolfville and east of the village of New Minas. It is also bordered on the north by the south bank of the Cornwallis River, opposite the village of Port Williams.
