Inco Superstack

The Inco Superstack in Sudbury, Ontario, with a height of 380 meters, is the tallest chimney in Canada and the Western hemisphere, and the second tallest freestanding chimney in the world after the GRES-2 Power Station in Kazakhstan. It is also the second tallest freestanding structure of any type in Canada, ranking behind the CN Tower but ahead of First Canadian Place. Nearly the same height as the Empire State Building, it is the 27th tallest freestanding structure in the world.

Big Nickel

The Big Nickel is a nine-metre (30 ft) replica of a 1951 Canadian nickel, located at the grounds of Dynamic Earth in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. The twelve-sided nickel is located on a small hill overlooking the intersection of Municipal Road 55 and Big Nickel Drive at the westernmost end of the Gatchell neighbourhood.

Lockerby Composite School

Lockerby Composite School is a high school located in the Lockerby neighbourhood of Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, a short distance from Science North and James Jerome (Lily Creek) Sports Complex. Its motto is Scientia Nos Ducet ("Knowledge Will Lead Us"). Lockerby became the first public high school in Ontario to include a laptop program in its curriculum in September 1999, a program which has since expanded to half of the student population.
